Media Accreditation

The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) invites all online, print, photographic and broadcast media to cover the world's first Youth Olympic Games (YOG), to be held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010.

Media accreditation opens on 1 February 2010 and closes on 1 May 2010. All media accreditation applications will be subject to the approval of the International Olympic Committee and SYOGOC.

 Notes:

* includes reporters, photographers, editors, photographic editors, employed or contracted by a world news agency; a national agency; a general daily newspaper; a sports daily; a sports magazine or sports Internet site; a periodical; or independent/freelance journalist under contract.
Writers/photographers covering Singapore 2010 for International Federation/National Olympic Committee website/publications can also apply for accreditation under this category.

** refers to non-rights-holding radio and television broadcasters

@ refers specifically to participants of the Young Reporter Programme organised by IOC during Singapore 2010.

 

Accredited media will have access to the Main Media Centre, the 18 competition venues, Youth Olympic Village, and Culture and Education Programme activities.

While approved media accreditation does not serve as a visa for entry into Singapore, assistance will be rendered to media for visa applications upon request.

Categories HB and RT:

Media applicants of categories HB and RT are invited to apply for accreditation via the Bulk Application Template through your respective co-ordinators.

*Note on Section 4.1 in the Media Accreditation Instruction Manuals: Main Accreditation Centres
Main Accreditation Centres (MAC) are located at the International Convention Centre, IOC Hotel, Main Media Centre, Youth Olymipc Village and SYOGOC. For accreditation matters, all Singapore 2010 participants can visit the MAC at these locations. Participants are to note that there will not be a MAC at Changi Airport Terminal 2.
